About Howard Hubbard Memorial Hospital
Howard Hubbard Memorial Hospital was established in 1967 and is owned and managed by Dole Philippines, Inc. It was named after Mr. Howard Hubbard, the company’s second managing director, whose vision and legacy were to provide Dole employees with dedicated healthcare services.
For over 27 years, the hospital remained under Dole’s management until Fil-AMCARE, an HMO company, took over in 1994. The hospital’s management transitioned several times:
1994–1997
Managed by Fil-AMCARE, an HMO account company
1997–2000
Operated under AYALA Health
2000–2023
Managed by Mount Matutum Health Care Foundation Inc., overseeing 23 years of operations as a 95-bed Level 2 hospital
This history reflects the hospital’s enduring commitment to providing quality healthcare to the Dole community and beyond.
